In the final quarter of 2023, the fast food and fast casual restaurant app category in the United Kingdom saw varying trends among the top players. McDonald’s U.K. experienced a downward trend in downloads, starting the quarter with roughly 189K and closing at about 49K. Weekly active users showed more fluctuation, peaking at approximately 1.7M in mid-November before dropping to around 1M by the year's end.

Greggs also saw a decrease in downloads over the quarter, from around 112K to 30K. The weekly active users for Greggs began at roughly 341K and ended the quarter with about 262K, indicating a gradual decline.
